Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is a cutting-edge form of regenerative medicine that is becoming widely used for cosmetic therapy. It helps to restore a youthful skin and to smooth out fine lines and wrinkles and is especially effective when treating conditions such as acne scarring and stretch marks.
The important part of PRP is the fact that it uses your own blood as part of the restorative technique in which plasma from your blood is injected into the tissues of your skin in high concentrations, and in targeted areas. The fact that PRP uses your own blood, eliminates the risk of allergies.
The PRP technique is very simple and practically painless. A blood sample is taken from the patient and placed into a sterile NeoGenesis tube. The tube containing the patient’s blood is placed into a centrifuge and spun to separate the red blood cells from the platelets and associated growth factors. After a few minutes the, plasma and concentrated platelets with the growth factors are removed from the tube and are re-introduced into the patient at the site of injury, scar or where visible lines and wrinkles are apparent.
Using a small high quality sterile mesotherapy needle the PRP and PPP is injected in and around targeted areas of concern. PRP and PPP can also be combined with an electronic skin needling pen. It can be applied everywhere on the face, body and scalp to treat conditions such as aged skin, wrinkles, including décolleté and breasts, sagging skin, stretchmarks and hair loss.
A training manual will be sent to you prior to the training day. Please make sure you bring this with you on the day.
